At least Korra realized she respected Asami and decided to back off. Mako on the other hand continued to flirt with Korra even when Asami was present. I for one was really hopinh Mako would get called out on this by not just Asami but Bolin and Korra herself as well. He doesn't deserve to be with anyone. He cheats on his girlfriend, with the girl his brother likes and then starts to act like neither his girlfriend nor his brother exist for the rest of the season.
